Description
Veterinary Orthopedic Center (VOC) is seeking an energetic and ambitious surgeon with a special interest in small animal orthopedics. The founding surgeon is near retirement; the other full-time surgeon is contemplating it as well.
The clinic is open for services Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm. No on-calls and no weekend emergencies.
Compensation is based on production with a customary benefit package and up to 8 weeks of personal time off available.
The present surgeon, working 4 days a week, took 5 weeks off and still produced more than $3M. A serious commitment to growing the practice would justify a very generous incentive package.
The practice occupies a six-year-old building with 4 ORs in a very functional layout. The surgeons are supported by a staff of 20 including CVTs, assistant techs, sterile processing techs, as well as well-trained clerical personnel.
The clinic is in Northwest Indiana, 35 miles from the center of Chicago. The cost of housing is a fraction of what it is in Illinois/Chicago, yet only a short distance from everything Chicago offers.
