Description
The Surgery Department at MedVet Columbus, the Midwest’s largest private veterinary specialty hospital and AAHA’s 2014 Referral Practice of the Year, is seeking applicants for our 2026 residency positions in small animal surgery.Our ACVS registered 3-year program, entering its 25th year, is designed to meet and exceed ACVS specifications and produces proficient, skilled surgeons who pass their ACVS board certification examination. MedVet’s extensive caseload typically allows our residents to complete their ACVS requirement for surgeries within their first year, supports publications, encourages critical thought process development, and facilitates preparation for board certification examinations. Our Columbus hospital also offers 12 specialty departments, in addition to our exceptional surgical training, ensuring a rare multi-specialty teaching environment for all residents.

Requirements
Successful applicants must have graduated from an accredited veterinary college and completed an internship in small animal surgery and medicine or have equivalent experience and be US citizens.
