Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in North Haven is looking for a board-certified Veterinary Surgeon or residency trained veterinarian to join our dynamic, collaborative Surgery team. Role Overview
Our surgeons work side by side with emergency clinicians and specialists to ensure every patient receives the highest standard of care. In this role, you will:
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive techniques
- Collaborate with other specialists and emergency clinicians to provide comprehensive patient care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, guiding them through treatment options and surgical plans
- Mentor and support interns and veterinary team members
- Contribute to hospital culture by engaging in case discussions, rounds, and continuing education opportunities
Our Ideal Candidate
- Holds a valid DVM license from an accredited university
- Residency-trained or board-certified in Veterinary Surgery (ACVS or equivalent)
- Strong surgical skills with a commitment to evidence-based medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Dedication to teamwork, teaching, and advancing veterinary knowledge
