The Oakland Veterinary Referral Services was established in 1989 and has an excellent support staff to accommodate an active caseload. Present staff includes 5 surgeons, 3 internists, 2 cardiologists, 2 dermatologists, 3 oncologists, ophthalmologist, 2 behaviorists, 13 skilled emergency doctors, 3 criticalists and an on-site blood bank. OVRS has state of the art diagnostic capabilities including four ultrasound machines; endoscopy/bronchoscopy/cystoscopy, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy equipment, digital radiography, CT scanner, telemetry ECG and an on-site veterinary laboratory with clinical pathologist (IDEXX laboratories)
