Peake Brook Veterinary Center is seeking a skilled, compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team. The Opportunity & Responsibilities
In this role, you will elevate our surgical capacity, handling advanced soft tissue, orthopedic, or specialized corrective procedures.
* Perform a diverse caseload of elective and advanced surgeries in a highly equipped, modern surgical suite.
* Provide pre-operative consultations and detailed post-operative management plans for our deeply loyal clientele.
* Collaborate seamlessly with our highly skilled Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) and medical leadership to optimize patient outcomes.
* Provide mentorship or collaborative guidance to our general practitioners on complex surgical cases.
Qualifications
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited institution.
* Board certification (ACVS) or extensive, demonstrable proficiency and advanced training in complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
* Active veterinary licensure and controlled substance registration in the State of Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain).
* A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset paired with strong communication skills.
