• Practice Overview
  Scissortail Veterinary Specialists is a thriving, well-established practice with a substantial caseload suitable for an additional full-time surgeon. We are open to discussing opportunities for candidates interested in future ownership of the clinic.  The practice is locally owned and operated by two partners who are also the primary surgeons. In addition, the team includes a full-time anesthesiologist who contributes to the high standard of patient care.
• Facility and Collaborative Environment
  In August 2025, the practice relocated to a custom-built facility designed to support advanced veterinary care. The building is shared with an emergency clinic, a veterinary rehabilitation specialist, and a part-time dentist. For all cases requiring overnight hospitalization, patients are transferred to the emergency clinic for continuous, 24-hour monitoring, ensuring dedicated care around the clock.
• Investment in Equipment
  Scissortail Veterinary Specialists is fully committed to investing in equipment that supports its team’s professional growth and development.  The practice is equipped with a 16-slice traditional CT scanner and a 1.5T Hallmarq MRI.
• Emergency Coverage
  Emergency duties are managed through a cooperative on-call arrangement with other small animal surgeons in the area. This collaborative approach helps ensure comprehensive emergency coverage and promotes professional camaraderie within the region.
• Compensation
  We provide medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage along with a CE stipend, uniform allowance, and coverage of professional dues. The practice offers a competitive salary plus production, with flexibility to discuss the option of straight production compensation. This approach allows prospective team members to choose the compensation model that best fits their preferences and professional goals.
