Apiam Animal Health – National Equine Network
The Opportunity
Apiam Animal Health is seeking a talented Equine Surgeon to join our growing equine network. This role offers the opportunity to work across established equine practices, including referral hospitals and regional centres, supporting a diverse, high-quality caseload.
Current opportunities include the Victorian Equine Group (featuring Bendigo Equine Hospital, a leading first opinion, referral, and emergency facility) and Scenic Rim Veterinary Service in Beaudesert, a purpose-built equine and mixed practice with on-site board-certified equine surgeons. Together, these clinics provide strong clinical support, exposure to complex cases, and a collaborative team environment.

Facilities across the network support a broad caseload, including:
- Orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery (including emergency procedures)
- Laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques
- Lameness and poor performance investigations
- Intensive care and neonatal medicine
- Reproductive and stud services
About You
We are seeking a registered specialist (or equivalent experience) to play a key clinical role within our teams.
You will demonstrate:
- Advanced capability across equine clinical practice
- Strong surgical expertise, with an interest in lameness
- Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
- A collaborative, client-focused approach
Requirements:
- Veterinary degree recognised in Australia
- Specialist registration, surgical residency-trained, or extensive experience via an equivalent training pathway
- Minimum 5 years’ equine surgical experience
- Ability to manage elective and emergency cases independently
