Description
The Department of Clinical Sciences mission is to assure the health and productivity of animals to meet societal needs through high quality educational programs for professional veterinary medical students, graduate veterinarians, and the public through a faculty and veterinary medical center of excellence, and to advance and disseminate comparative biomedical knowledge in an environment of interdisciplinary collaboration. Colorado State University is offering the opportunity to join the Large Animal Emergency and Critical Care Team (ECC) in beautiful Fort Collins! Our ECC team is a 24/7 service that works collaboratively with our Equine Medicine, Surgery, Livestock, and other specialty services to deliver world-class care to large animals. It also provides an opportunity to teach our next generation of Large Animal veterinarians!
The position is for a 100% FTE Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Equine Service at the Johnson Family Equine Hospital (JFEH). This individual will share responsibility with the ECC faculty and staff to provide daytime clinical service and teaching including shared after-hours responsibilities, as well as some laboratory and didactic teaching on the ECC service. Applicants should have a strong interest in teaching DVM students, Large Animal interns, and resident in addition to providing clinical service.

Requirements
Required Job Qualifications
A DVM or equivalent degree
American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) certification or completion of surgery residency training by start date
Eligibility to obtain a State of Colorado Academic Veterinarian license
Preferred Job Qualifications
American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical care (DACVECC) board certification, European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical care(ECVECC), or board eligibility by start date
Demonstrated history of excellence in clinical work
Demonstrated leadership and collegiality within and contributions to a high-performance team
